Let us Pray: Father, your word says, "Let everything that hath breath praise ye the Lord" and so Father, we say, Hallelujah, for we give you all the praise. In Jesus' name. Amen!
For the past two days, I've been asking God to show me if I'm doing what He's asking of me. On Sunday morning, I woke up with a vision of a story that I want to share with you. This is where I believe God spoke clearly.
When I was around nine years old, I was walking with my mother one day from working in the garden. We grew up in the country, and it was a scorching hot day. As we were walking back towards the house, my mother suddenly put her hand out in front of me, and we came to an abrupt stop. I looked up at her, and I noticed that her expression had changed. When I looked straight ahead, I saw a rattlesnake had risen up and was ready to strike. My mom told me to run and get the chopping hoe, while she stood still, not making a move. When I came back, my mom took the hoe and chopped off the rattlesnake's head. At the time, I didn't realize the danger we were facing because the enemy was on our path, but my mom had to make a decision.
Have you ever been in a place where the enemy surprises you with an attack, and you feel paralyzed with fear? God said to me that snakes don’t give warnings! You have to choose to either do nothing and allow the enemy to destroy you, or stand up in the Spirit and use the Word of God to speak to the thing the enemy is using to cause you to freeze in fear. You have to speak a Word that will cause the enemy to bow down under the blood of Jesus. Remember, 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God has not given you the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." And don't forget 1 John 4:4, "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in this world." No matter what surprises the enemy may have, destroy that thing before it destroys you.
I leave you with this: The Holy Spirit is our protector and if we are following God on the Right Path, He will reveal to us the enemy from afar. In the end, I’m telling my Story You messed with the wrong one!
