	OUR MISSION STATEMENT To spark a passion for service. Through an innovative youth development process, we see an environment where success in school and life is not only possible, it is achieved and celebrated. We believe the participation of youth in experiential learning activities will allow students to make discoveries and experiment with knowledge themselves, instead of hearing or reading about the experiences of others. Through the process the students will be able reflect on their experiences, thus developing new skills, new attitudes, and new theories, and ways of thinking. Youth will be viewed as central actors in their own lives, rather than as passive clients of services. Ignite One believes, as we let our own light shine we cultivate a spark within our young people, which insures that our mantra, "Lighting, Carrying, & Passing the Torch..." will be a cycle unbroken. To create and implement innovative experiential learning activities that awaken and inspire youths to contribute to the stability, safety, and well-being of our communities in ways that empower and enable them to reach their full potential.
