How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Heb 9:14
In Old Testament times the sacrificial system used by priests included animals as an atonement for the sins of the people as well as their own. The blood of bulls, sheep, goats, and birds covered but it could not cleanse their sin. It took the blood of the sinless Son of God to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and make us right with God in spite of our sins.
Romans 3:23 Tells us, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We overcome through the blood of the lamb and our testimony. The precious blood of Jesus has all the eternal and redemptive properties necessary to save, heal, deliver, and set free.
Many people believe that being morally good, will get them into heaven. Some may say, I’m not that bad, but the reality is you’re not that good.
The blood of Jesus is the sacrificial system that has the cleansing agent to wash away our sins. Pleading the blood releases His power, protection and presence not just to cover but to cleanse.
Let me encourage you to get under the blood (be saved) and you will stay in His blessings.
