Let us Pray: Father, your word says, in Psalm 34:8 "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him." Hallelujah, in Jesus' name. Amen!
I remember when we were growing up and how we used to play fun kid games because we had to stay outside all day. Some games we made up ourselves, and others were traditions. But I remember one game in particular, called Dodgeball.
In the game of Dodgeball, we would line up on each side and place someone in the middle. The objective was to take that person out. Although it seemed like an innocent game at that time, it was actually disadvantageous for the person in the middle, as it was two against one.
This is similar to the enemy, who never plays fair. As the scripture says in John 10:10, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy." If you find yourself being convinced to play a game with the enemy, then you are already at a disadvantage.
In the game of Dodgeball, the enemy is on both sides, one in the front and one in the back. The objective is to take you out, and the plan is to destroy you so that he can win. Once you realize that you have been played, you have a choice to keep playing or end the game. The first step is to repent, followed by asking the Lord for forgiveness. This gives you the advantage, and you can take authority over what the enemy had planned for you.
Don't lose focus by going in the direction of the ball or the thing that he is using to keep your eyes on him. Get ahead of the game and know your enemy. We have an enemy who doesn't care about you or anything connected to you. One of his plans is to keep you from knowing who you are. Instead, use the strategies and the weapons God has given you to defeat the enemy and live a victorious life.
1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV "But thanks be to God, who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
